Commentary R.B. Ultimate Standard Operating Procedures

1. I'll typically send an e-mail by 9:30 or 10:00 on a game day.
1.a. Anyone who wants to should feel free to send an e-mail earlier
1.a.i. Some people have e-mail filters set up. If you send the e-mail earlier, please include "R.B. Ultimate" in the subject.
1.a.ii. If you send an e-mail earlier, try to wait for the day of the game (for normal M-W-F games.)
2. Please don't respond if you're not playing (or at least change the title.)
3. If you have any special requirements (e.g. 4v4 only), include it in your response.
4. Get to the field by 12:15, and be ready to play by 12:20. (The 5 minutes between 'get there' and 'play' is so we can make teams.) It's polite to stay at least until the end of the first game (around 1:15.) 4.a. If you're going to be late, let us know how late to expect you.
5. If there are a lot of people, no one will send a confirmation ("Game ON!") e-mail. If the game is questionable, I (or anyone else) will send a confirmation e-mail.
5.a. My phone number is 619-823-4521. Feel free to call or text if you don't know if there's a game.
6. We normally play with a field around 70 yards long and 40 yards wide, with 10 yard end zones (making the total field length 90 yards.) The field will be smaller for 3v3 or 4v4 games.
7. If you want to make teams, go ahead. If no one wants to do it, I'll do it.
7.a. We do our best to avoid subs, even with an odd number of players.
8. We normally have two warm up points, followed by a game to 11, win by 2, cap at 13. If there's time, we will play a 2nd game, usually to 5. The first game ends around 1:15 usually, and the second game around 1:30-1:40. It's OK to leave after the first game.
9. Feel free to bring white & dark shirts, if you want (I never do). When I make teams, I usually start with some random division (over 40 vs. under 40, tall vs. short, people with a 'V' in their name, people with hats, people with white shirts, etc.) and then balance the teams. If the resulting teams are mostly white shirts vs. dark shirts, I might ask people to change, if they can.
